In 1931, Lt. Chen was sent to a remote mine called Biyao in French Indochina. There, he met Li, a female merchant from Yunnan, and Nguyen, a Vietnamese with a sense of mystery. Chen aimed to take over the mine and got caught up in conflicts, gradually uncovering the secrets of Biyao.
